Biographie de Within Temptation
Within Temptation est un groupe néerlandais de métal symphonique avec des influences gothic métal créé en 1996.
Le groupe est fondé par les partenaires de longue date Robert Westerholt (guitare) et Sharon den Adel (chant) en 1996, après que Robert ait quitté son ancien groupe, The Circle. The Circle est alors rebaptisé Voyage et sort un album 'Embrace', y compris une chanson mettant en vedette Sharon. Peu de temps après, le groupe se sépare. Robert et Sharon rejoignent alors le groupe 'the Portal' et ils prennent bientôt le nom de Within Temptation.
En 2012, le groupe est formé de Sharon den Adel (Chant) Robert Westerholt (Guitare), Jeroen van Veen (guitare basse), Martijn Spierenburg (Clavier), Ruud Jolie (guitare depuis 2001), Mike Coolen (batterie depuis 2011) et Stefan Helleblad (guitare depuis 2011).
Leur premier album 'Enter' est sorti en 1997.
