Biographie de Dream Theater

Dream Theater est un groupe de métal progressif formé en 1985 à Boston, US.
Il est fondé par le guitariste John Petrucci, le bassiste John Myung et le batteur Mike Portnoy sous le nom Majesty. Ils sont ensuite rejoints par Kevin Moore au clavier puis Chris Collins les rejoints en tant que chanteur. En Novembre 1986, celui-ci est congédié. Ils recrutent alors Charlie Dominici, pour le remplacer. En 1988, ils prennent le nom de Dream Theater.
Leur premier album 'When Dream and Day Unite' est sorti en 1989.
Depuis 2010, le groupe est composé de John Myung (basse), John Petrucci (guitare-chœurs), James LaBrie (chant depuis 1991), Jordan Rudess (clavier-keytar depuis 1999) et Mike Mangini (batterie-percussions depuis 2010).
