Ashanti Shequoyia Douglas (née le 13 octobre 1980 à Glen Cove, US) est une auteure-interprète, actrice, pianiste et productrice américaine.
A 3 ans, elle chantait dans un choeur de gospel.Adolescente, c'est lors d'un concourt de jeunes talents qu'elle se fait remarquée et signe son premier contrat en 1994.
Son premier album 'Ashanti' est sorti en 2002.
