Elle a parlé du titre sur Instagram:
“Lord It’s a Feeling” was essentially a spoken word poem to start with, it was very simple and also the hardest song to get right because it’s unusual. We had about 12 different versions in the end! It means a lot to me this song and I felt very vulnerable doing it. I hope you love it as much as we do.
"Lord It's a Feeling" était essentiellement un poème parlé avec lequel commencer, c'était très simple et aussi la chanson la plus difficile à comprendre parce que c'est inhabituel. Nous avons eu environ 12 versions différentes au final ! Elle signifie beaucoup pour moi cette chanson et je me sentais très vulnérable en la faisant. J'espère que vous l'aimerez autant que nous.

It was the same thing (manipulative relationships and toxicity)—I think what affected me so much in my twenties, and my personal experience of the music industry. It’s a bit of a fuck-you song. And I do swear in it, which people will not be expecting from a nice, very middle-class lady. But it just came out and I was like, ‘On the second album I would have really second-guessed myself.’ You have to make yourself vulnerable to do that, but the payback is greater, because if you make something that other people listen to and connect with, it’s like you’ve actually done something for somebody else, rather than just write a song for yourself.
C'était la même chose (relations manipulatrices et toxicité)—je pense à ce qui m'a tant affecté dans ma vingtaine, et mon expérience personnelle de l'industrie musicale. C'est un peu une chanson 'allez vous faire foutre'. Et j'y jure, ce que les gens n'attendront pas d'une gentille dame très bourgeoise. Mais c'est sorti et je me suis dit : "Sur le deuxième album, j'aurais dû vraiment ma remettre en question." Vous devez être vulnérable pour faire ça mais le rendu est encore meilleur parce que si vous faites quelque chose que les autres peuvent écouter et auquel ils peuvent se connecter, c'est comme si vous faisiez quelque chose pour quelqu'un d'autre plutôt que d'écrire une chanson pour vous-même
