(2) Il s'agit ici de la société actuelle qui incite fortement à être célèbre, extraordinaire, à faire des choses incroyables qui valent l'attention des autres. RM dit qu'on a pas besoin d'être "quelqu'un" ; on peut très bien se contenter d'être "personne", à savoir une personne inconnue du grand public. Il ajoute qu'il préfère n'être personne que de ne pas vivre du tout, comme ces gens qui mettent leur vie en péril pour quelques minutes de gloire ("Rather be anybody than live in a dead body"). Cela peut aussi être interprété comme le fait de ne pas vivre intérieurement, ne pas profiter de la vie car on est trop occupé à essayer de satisfaire les autres.
(3) "How hard is it to be an anybody", fait encore une fois référence à l'impression de ne pas se sentir assez bien dans ce monde où on accorde tant d'importance à la popularité et à la célébrité. "Not choosing a dead body", lui, parle du désespoir et de la difficulté de vivre une vie qui ne nous plait pas : à ce moment, on préférerait mourir plutôt que de vivre cette vie insipide.
(4) Cette phrase signifie que la "normalité", rentrer dans des codes, les diktats de la mode etc. ne sert à rien, puisque personne n'est réellement normal et que nous sommes tous différents.
(5) "You stand under" peut avoir plusieurs sens. Le premier : le devoir de s'effacer, de rester en retrait pour comprendre. C'est une leçon d'humilité ; si on croit déjà tout savoir, alors comment comprendre, apprendre ? Le second : changer de position pour obtenir un différent point de vue. En prenant du recul, notre perception, et donc notre compréhension, peut changer.
